Privacy Policy.

1. Introduction

In order for us to provide you the Service, we (the terms “we”, “MusixMusix”, “us”, “our” refer to MusixMusix Sdn. Bhd.) may request you to provide us your data and information (“personal data”) for the purposes as stated below. This Privacy Policy will allow you to understand better of how we collect, use, maintain and disclose your personal data, how we safeguard your personal data, and how you can access and manage your personal data.

 

2. What is Personal Data?

Personal data means information in respect of commercial transaction that relates directly or indirectly to you, which can identify you from that information alone or with other information.

 

3. What kind of information do we collect?

(a) Information when you register with us such as your name, username, password, age, date of birth, gender, address, email address, your business type and category, country origin, and postal code. We may also collect information such as your contact number and mobile service provider (if you have provided to us through your user account).

                       

(b) When you use and access the Service, we collect information such as:-

  • Subscription package you have chosen with us;

  • When you connect with our songs, playlists, other MusixMusix users, advertisements, third party applications, products and services which are offered, linked to or made available on the Service;

  • When you send us your queries;

  • Contents that you post, upload and/or contribute to the Service;

  • Technical data such as the URL, IP address, web browser type, language and identifying information, operation system, MusixMusix application version, unique device identification, network and computer performance, and digital rights management related information;

  • Your location information

  • Cookies and similar technologies (the term “cookies” are used in this Privacy Policy to refer to cookies and all such similar technologies) may be used to collect these information.

 

A cookie is a small text file that is stored in your computer, mobile device or other device when you visit a website that stores and receives certain information. The cookie can help the web providers to identify you when you return to the same website. There are other similar technologies as cookies include pixel tags, web bugs and web storage that has the similar functions as cookies.

Cookies can help us to recognise your subscription type and allow us to serve you better. Cookies also help us to analyse how the Service is accessed, used and performed and the effectiveness of the Service, which, in turn, help us to improve the Service better and to enhance your experience with the Service. Cookies can also help us to identify your needs and interests so that we can tailor make our services and products according to your needs and interests.

(c) Payment information

When you subscribe MusixMusix or make any purchase through the Service, in order for us to process your payment, we may collect your financial details such as your credit card and bank account details and the third party payment processors with which we work with may store such information.

 

We may also collect your contact details and your transaction history. The third party payment processors may also provide us a unique token that can allow you to make additional purchases, your credit card’s type, expiry date, and the last four digits of your credit card number.

 

When you request to make payment by invoice, we may also collect and transfer certain information such as your billing details, shipping details and your contact details to our invoicing service provider in order for them to prepare invoice and send the invoice to your door. The use of your personal data by our invoicing service provider is subjected to their privacy policy.

 

(d) Additional information required for our contests and surveys

When you participate in our contests and surveys (“Our Events”), we may require additional personal data from you. Our Events may be governed by a separate or additional to this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions. When there is inconsistency or conflict with Our Events’ privacy policy and its terms and conditions and this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions, those privacy policy and the terms and conditions of Our Events shall prevail.

 

We may combine these additional personal data with the other account’s personal data and information to be used and shared according to this Privacy Policy.

           

(e) Information received or shared

We may receive, use and share your personal data when you integrate your MusixMusix account with other third party services, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

 

4. Purpose of collecting your personal data

(a) To provide you the Service and other products or services that are available through the Service;

(b) To personalise and improve your experience with the Service;

(c) To develop new products and services;

(d) To monitor and review the technical functioning of the Service, products and services available through the Service;

(e) To analyse your usage with the Service;

(f) For communication purposes with you such as sending you promotional messages and replying to your queries via SMS, email and/or other appropriate communication channels;

(g) To allow you to use the Service including its features and contents;

(h) To enforce and comply with this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions, which may be subjected to changes from time to time;

(i) Such other purposes relevant to the Service.

 

(These purposes shall collectively be referred to as “the Purposes”)

 

5. Links to third party websites

The Service may contain advertisements and contents from third parties which link to third party websites. Such third party websites may or may not have the same privacy policy that we set for ourselves. We do not control the privacy policy governing such third party websites and therefore we cannot be responsible for such third parties’ privacy policies. As such, you are advised to read their privacy policies to find out how they may collect and process your personal data.

 

6. Security of personal data

We respect and value your personal data. Therefore, we take appropriate and reasonable measures to protect your personal data from any loss, misuse, modification, unauthorised or accidental access or disclosure, alteration or destruction when processing your personal data. However, we do not guarantee complete security of such personal data at any time. You can also help us to keep your personal data safe by taking the precautions such as using a unique and secure username and password, and log off when you are not using the Service.

7. Retention of your personal data

We will retain your personal data as long as necessary for the above mentioned Purposes and/or as otherwise permitted by applicable law. We will destroy and/or delete any personal data from our system if such data is no longer required for the Purposes and/or as otherwise permitted by applicable law. You may also delete your user account anytime you want. However, once you have deleted your user account, you may not be able to use the Service.

 

8. Data Integrity

It is your responsibility to make sure that all your personal data provided to us are accurate, not misleading, and updated. You may manage and update your personal data after you log into your user account. However, we may require you to verify your identity before you can update your personal data.

 

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time according to our internal policies and applicable laws. We will announce such changes through the Service and the means of communication that you have provided to us.  However, once we have published such changes on our MusixMusix website, you are deemed to have been notified, updated and consented to such changes. Otherwise, you are deemed to have accepted such changes when you continue to use the Service after such changes are made.
